Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and Firsthand Studio (First hand Software, licence 342398, Doha, Qatar), which makes Entry. They cover the Entry app and this website. By creating an account or using Entry, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Entry.
The beta
Entry is in a private beta, and it is free during the beta. Features may change, stop working or be removed, and the beta may end. We work to keep what you log safe, but a beta can have faults, and we cannot promise that nothing will be lost.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older to use Entry.
- Use an email address you can read: Entry sends there the codes that confirm it and let you change your password.
- An account is for one person. Keep your password to yourself: you are responsible for what is done with your account.
- If you think someone else has used your account, change your password and write to us.
Not medical advice
Entry records what you do and shows you estimates. The calorie calculator's targets are estimates from a standard formula, not measurements of your body, and food values are estimates from public data and published recipes. Nothing in Entry is medical, nutrition or training advice.
Talk to a doctor before you start a diet or a training plan, especially during pregnancy or breastfeeding, if you have a health condition, or if you have had an eating disorder. Stop and get help if you feel pain or unusually unwell while training.
Using Entry
You may not:
- try to reach anyone else's data, or any part of our systems beyond what the app offers you;
- interfere with Entry, overload it, or test its security without our written permission;
- copy Entry's food list or exercise library out of the app in bulk;
- use Entry to break the law.
Your data
What you log is yours. You allow us to store and process it only to run Entry for you, as the privacy policy describes, under Qatar's PDPPL and, for users in Saudi Arabia, the Saudi PDPL.
Entry itself
The Entry app, its name and logo, its design, its food list and its exercise library belong to Firsthand Studio or are used under licence. The food list's everyday foods come from USDA FoodData Central, which is in the public domain. The open-source software in the app is listed with its licences in Account → Licences.
Ending
You can stop using Entry at any time, and delete your account in Account → Delete account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we may end the beta. Where we can, we will tell you first.
Our responsibility
Entry is provided as it is, during a beta, without a promise that it will always work or be free of errors. As far as the law allows, Firsthand Studio is not responsible for indirect losses, or for data lost during the beta. Nothing in these terms takes away rights that the law where you live gives you and that cannot be taken away.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar, and the courts of Qatar settle disputes about them, unless the law where you live gives you the right to use your own courts.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, we update them here with a new date. For a change that matters, we will tell beta testers by email before it applies. If you keep using Entry after that, you accept the new terms.
